ABOUT QUINTA DO JAVALI
Quinta do Javali, a small 18-hectare wine property, is a testament to the enduring legacy of wine production in the Douro Valley. Located on the left bank of the Douro River, in the parish of Nagozelo do Douro – S. João da Pesqueira, the estate has a rich vineyard tradition dating back to the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The vineyards are located on the north-east facing slopes of the Douro Valley, known for its schistose soil with vertical diaclases that allow the vine roots to penetrate to great depths. This, coupled with the exceptional qualities of the region, provides Quinta do Javali with the perfect conditions for the production of the finest PORT and DOURO DOC wines.
